Growing Connection
Weaving Permaculture with Joanna Macy's Work that Reconnects
Service Description
This event will explore the core ethics and principles of Permaculture, while we also navigate the “Spiral” of The Work That Reconnects - a process created by Buddhist, scholar, writer, and Deep Ecologist, Joanna Macy. This workshop will involve group conversations, educational segments, solo quiet time in nature, and some practical, hands-on techniques that can be applied to your own context. Anna Maria comes to this work with her background in Permaculture and exploring human culture through the lens of Sociocultural Anthropology. With 3 years of experience exploring the Spiral during in-person retreats and online courses, plus her own self-guided personal explorations, Anna Maria can whole-heartedly attest to the magic and alchemical power of transmuting pain into fuel for her life’s work. Currently travelling Europe and the UK from Turtle Island/Canada to explore the lands and medicines of her ancestors, Anna Maria believes there is wisdom to be harvested from the ancients if we learn to listen, unlearn, and learn. As a Permaculture educator, and with her experience creating community-building events for historically marginalized communities, her work in the world involves reconnecting ourselves into the wider web of life for a regenerative future. This workshop offering includes full participation plus food and refreshments. Contact Joanne & Milo for more details on this or sharing dietary restrictions. 0861088397.
